The latest album from Canadian band Whitehorse is out now. The band - Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland, from Hamilton, Ontario – ran a hugely successful crowd-funding, pre-sale, Kickstarter campaign for the record, which raised more than twice the band's target amount. The album, Leave No Bridge Unburned, has been receiving rave reviews from around the world since its release on the Canadian label, Six Shooter Records and the band will be doing a major North American tour to support it, starting later this month. English band The Mountain Firework Company have a released a new video for a song on their latest album, The Lonesome Losing Blues. The video, for the song Poor Girl, was shot near the band's hometown of Brighton, on the south coast of England. The five-piece band also released a video for a new song at the end of last year, which you can watch here, and which will be on the band's new album, which they are currently working on. The free spring music sampler from online roots magazine Fatea is now available to download. The compilation, called Tides, features songs by 18 different roots artists, including the Red Dirt Skinners, Lexie Green and Tracey Browne & Raevennan Husbandes. You can download the sampler, for free, until April 30th, here.
