New releases by international Americana artists haven't entirely stopped yet, this year...

The new box set by Canadian, Joni Mitchell is released today (Tuesday, Nov 25th). Mitchell has spent the last two years putting together, and designing the artwork for, her new career-spanning 4 CD box set, which she has titled Love Has Many Faces: A Quartet, a Ballet, Waiting To Be Danced. The CD's contain 53 songs, but not some of Mitchell's best known tracks (Big Yellow Taxi, The Circle Game, and Chelsea Morning, are among the more well-known songs not included). However, the box set does include liner notes written by Mitchell as well as some of her poetry, paintings and a hardcover book. You can find out more about the box-set here.

English, online roots magazine, Fatea, has just released its latest, free, quarterly music sampler. Called Attractions, it features 16 tracks by artists including Heg And The Wolf Chorus, Alex Roberts, Kelly Oliver and Red Bird Sky. You can download the collection here.

The David Latto Band, from Scotland, have made the great EP that they released earlier this year – called Here Today, Ghost Tomorrow - available for free via Noisetrade.com. The four track record came out in April. It was the follow up to the band's eponymous 10 track album that they released last year. You can find more information about the band here and you can download the EP – for free – from here. Below is a video of the band performing the opening track from the EP:
Rightly, there has been a lot of praise over the last week for the cover version of Paul Simon's song, America, that Swedish band, First Aid Kit, have just released a video for. The band - sisters Joanna and Klara Soderberg - have been performed the song on stage during their American tours, but this is the first time they have released a video for it. It is not yet currently available for sale, but this is the video:

Zambian musician, Robin Auld, has released a video for the title track from his latest album, Back Of The Line. Given the current weather in much of the northern hemisphere, the following video may induce feelings of jealously – and a desire to travel. You can hear another track from Robin's latest album on TIAMS #1440. This is the video for Back Of The Line:

Tracks by many of the artists on this page can be heard on The International Americana Music Show.
